Welcome to Visual Voices

Visual Voices is a fun, educational and creative experience that brings kids of all ages together within a common artistic venue where they can address issues concerning their lives, communities, and their futures. Visual Voices works collaboratively with school staff, community groups, after-school programs, mentoring programs to tailor each project’s process, design, content and presentation (either public or private) to meet the needs of our partners.

The goals of the Visual Voices process are:

To share the experience of being creative, with simple materials, as a means of thinking about and addressing the things that positively or negatively impact their lives.
To create a “space” or “place” where kids could share their thoughts with others, in a non-threatening or pressured way.
To share these dreams, hopes and really pure perspectives with the public.
To celebrate these efforts in the most respectful, energetic, and enthusiastic means possible.
