Mission

Visual Voices™ is a fun and educational experience bringing children of all ages and backgrounds together within a common artistic venue where youth address issues concerning their lives, communities, and their futures. It is hoped that Visual Voices™ will include children and adults from different backgrounds and communities all over the country - creating one “visual voice” from which we all can celebrate and learn.

History

Founded in 1993 by Michael Yonas MPH, Visual Voices™ is a national youth arts initiative designed to bring children of all ages together within a common artistic venue. Youth address issues concerning their lives, communities, and their futures through paintings, drawings, writings. The project combines these efforts into one “visual voice” from which all can celebrate, reflect, and learn.
